    Finishing grades 3-6, Have you ever dreamed of living out in the woods with nothing but a stick shelter and a campfire? In this camp, we’ll spend our week learning the skills needed to feel comfortable in the forest and what humans need to survive. We’ll make shelters, build fires, purify water, and cook some tasty campfire treats! Test your knowledge and discover new skills in this hands-on camp.

    Ages 16+ Kayaks are an easy, and quiet, way to get on the water to pursue your favorite fish species. Kayaks, PFDs, paddles and fishing equipment (if needed) will be provided. An experienced angler will be along to provide help with fishing tactics, what tackle to use, kayaking instruction, etc. Some fishing experience and a valid fishing license are required.     Ages 16+ The Rice Creek flows 22 beautiful miles on its way to the Mississippi River. We will be paddling 7 miles of the most scenic and wild sections of the creek. We will access areas most other birders can’t get to and see a variety of waterfowl, shorebirds, and upland bird species. No experience in boats, or birding, is required.     On our birding hikes an experienced bird guide will lead the group through one of Anoka County’s beautiful parks. Along the way we will be watching and listening for birds (and really all kinds of wildlife). We will then identify and keep a list of all the bird species observed.
