Anoka County Library presents its 6th annual short story contest for teens. Teens may submit one short story between 1300 and 3000 words in any genre, including fan fiction and verse fiction. Stories will be judged based on the same criteria used by the Minnesota Book Awards: literary quality, originality, and audience appeal. 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners will be selected in Grades 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12. Winners will receive gift certificates and will be announced in June - more details to come. Submissions open April 1st and close April 30, 2021. Only one submission per teen. Contest open to teens residing within or attending school in Anoka County. Submit online using this form.
