ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
Building Native Bee Houses
Did you know there are close to 400 bee species living in Minnesota? The vast majority of these are not the commonly known bumblebees and honeybees, but small, stingless, wild bees. About a third of these are cavity nesting bees that play a crucial role in pollinating garden plants, wildflowers, and trees. If you want to learn how to attract these amazing pollinators to your yard, come learn how to make and take care of native bee houses; it’s easier than you might think! Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Pre-registration required.
