Young Explorers Club – Super Spring
April 7, 1-2:30pm
Wargo Nature Center

Let’s see what kinds of things are springing up outside.  We’ll go for a hike, play a game and make a springtime craft.    This program is designed for preschool children, ages 4 & 5 years old.  Pre-registration is required. 
COST:  $4/child (+tax)


Nature Play – Spring Arrivals 

April 7, 10-11:15am

It’s here!  We’ll make a craft, read a story, and explore outside to learn about all the action that’s happening in nature this time of year.    This program is designed for 2-5 year olds who are accompanied by an adult.  Pre-registration is required. 
COST:  $3/child and $3/adult (+tax)
Family Earth Day Celebration
April 23, 12:30-3pm
Wargo Nature Center
Join us at the Wargo Nature Center for a FREE fun-filled family Earth Day celebration complete with a climbing wall and light refreshments.  Learn about Wargo’s unique offerings and activities and make your own earth art project to take home.  Visit the Earth Day Fair where local organizations will provide information and businesses will showcase earth-friendly products.  FREE!
Homeschool Programs
April 21; 10-12pm or 2-4pm
Wargo Nature Center
Naturalists work with homeschoolers to provide quality environmental, recreational, and natural history programs.  Children discover the natural environment by having fun learning about nature through hands-on activities.  Topics for April:  Baby Animals, Grade K-2; Bird Behavior, Grade 3-5; Animal Myth Busters, Grade 6-12.  Pre-registration is required.
COST:  $4/child (+tax)
Introduction to Kayaking;
April 26; 6-8pm

Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park


Ages 15+ Kayaking is a fun and easy way to get out and enjoy Minnesota’s lakes and rivers.  During this flat water course, we will cover basic strokes, kayaking safety, and boat/equipment selection.  Most of our time will be spent on the water getting comfortable in the boats and paddling.  No experience is necessary.  Space is limited.  Pre-registration is required.  Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. 
COST:  $25/person
Disc Golf
April 23; 11am-1pm
Bunker Hills Regional Park, Disc Golf Course (Parking Lot 2)
Where better to learn disc golf than in the beautiful Bunker Hills Regional Park.  Disc golf is a fun and easy sport that makes for an inexpensive and relaxing time outdoors.  This is an introductory level class that covers equipment, rules and style of play.  Each participant will receive a disc to keep.  Pre-Registration is required.
COST: $15/person (+tax)
