Beginning Monday, March 28, Hwy 10 through Anoka will be reduced to only one travel lane in each direction between Thurston Avenue and Hwy 47 (Ferry Street). Crews need this reduction of lanes to bring in equipment and start work. The lane reductions will be extended further east to 7th Avenue beginning in early April, 2022. Hwy 10 will remain with one lane in each direction for this construction season, through November, 2022.

More about this project
Hwy 10 in Anoka is undergoing a two-year reconstruction project. The rebuilt road will improve traffic flow, decrease congestion, and increase safety along and across Hwy 10. When complete, this 2.5 mile stretch of road, between Thurston Avenue and 7th Avenue will benefit from additional deacceleration/acceleration lanes, increased walkways and trails for bicycles and pedestrians, and improved access to frontage roads. Construction is anticipated to be completed in Spring 2024.
For more information, including upcoming traffic impacts, visit the Hwy 10 Anoka project webpage. If you have any questions about the project, contact the project team.
