Memorials & Donations
The Anoka County Parks Department welcomes contributions from organizations, individuals, or businesses for public benefit in the Anoka County Parks System. Community residents, businesses, and organizations can honor special events or loved ones through three types of contributions.
- Minimum of $500 is required to cover the tree and associated costs.
- Tree diameter, species and location will be determined by the County and donor to best fit the need of the specific park environment and to match the dollar amount donated.
- Contributions will be recognized by a formal letter from the Anoka County Parks Department
- The county will assure the life and maintenance of the specific tree(s) for a period of three years after the planting.
- $1,500 is required for a bench.
- Bench location will be determined by County and individual/organization to best fit the needs and availability of the specific park location.
- Plaques can be requested to be placed on the bench; text for the plaque is subject to approval.
- General donations will be accepted towards an existing project, a sculpture/artistic work, or for other public purposes to be determined by the donor and the County.
