Helpful Camping Information

  • Campers are required to register at the office.
  • Campsite check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 1:00 PM., Camper Cabin check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM. A late fee of $25 will be assessed if campers are not checked out before the designated time.
  • Long term camping is not permitted. Reservations are allow for up to 7 consecutive nights and cannot exceed 7 reserved nights in a 30 day period.
  • Changes to a reservation will be assessed a $8 administrative fee. This includes modifying reservations to a different date, site, or campground.
  • To receive a refund, cancellations must be made seven full days in advance of scheduled date of arrival. The $8 reservation fee is non-refundable. Refunds will not be provided due to weather.
  • A parent or guardian must accompany persons under the age of 18.
  • All vehicles are required to have an Anoka, Washington, or Carver County Vehicle Permit affixed to the windshield.
  • Garbage and recyclable materials must be separated and placed in the appropriate dumpster (next to the dump station). It may not be left in the restroom, fire ring, or at the site.
  • There is no cooking or smoking allowed in camper cabins
  • Smoking in not allowed in restroom buildings.
  • There is a maximum of 6 people per site. Up to two tents or one tent and one wheeled camping unit per site. Tents or other camping units are not allowed on camper cabin sites.
  • Domestic pets are allowed but must be leashed and attended to at all times. Pets must kept inside the camping unit during overnight hours and are not allowed at camper cabins sites. No more than 2 pets per campsite.
  • Fires are allowed in the fire pits only.
  • Firewood cannot be brought into the campground. It is available to purchase for a nominal fee at the Visitor Center and may NOT be collected from park grounds.
  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
  • Visitors must leave campground by 10:00 PM.
  • No parking on the grass; please use parking pad provided.
  • Fireworks of any kind are not allowed within the park.
  • Off-Season camping is available at Bunker Hills campground from October 8-21. Restrooms will be closed and water will not be available at individual campsites. Portable toilets will be available in each loop. The campground visitor center will have flush toilets available during the day.
