One of the primary duties of the Sheriff’s Office is the management of the jail. The Anoka County Jail is a 238-bed facility. We house primarily non-sentenced inmates in a combination of direct supervision and remote supervision housing units. Jail staff members strive to provide programs and services that are designed to meet the individual problems and needs of the detainees in a cost effective and efficient manner. The Anoka County Jail shall be operating in a manner that meets or exceeds state and national standards.

The Jail Division also includes the Sheriff's Office Warrants Unit.  Each year nearly 11,000 warrants are issued or cleared by the personnel assigned to this unit.  For information on warrants, call 763-422-7500.  Please note, we can only confirm active warrant information to the individual for whom the warrant is issued.
