What you get out of the training:
4-hour course on Basic Life Support
The course covers the American Heart Association recommendations for CPR and AED, use of a bag mask device, and treating airway obstruction for patients of all ages. Successful participants will receive BLS certification which is valid for 2 years.
4-hour course on First Aid
The course covers the American Heart Association critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Participants learn first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings. Successful participants will receive a First Aid certification which is valid for 2 years.
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED (or graduating before training starts)
