Columbia Heights Recycling Center 3801 Madison St NE, Columbia Heights, MN 55421 Open Saturday, 9 am - 1 pm, except holidays Open to area residents and small businesses. Place all materials in appropriate containers.
All materials accepted curbside, same guidelines, plus:
Batteries – Household batteries only, no automotive/car batteries
Fluorescent Bulbs, Xcel customers, limit 10, no fee, bring ID
Oil (Motor) – NO gasoline, solvents or water. Pour carefully into tank. Take container home for reuse.
Plastic Bags and Film
Scrap Metal – bikes, metal fencing, metal doors, etc.
Styrofoam -- NO food items, block and shape only
Tires – Columbia Heights residents only, ID required, 4 tires off rim per year; rims may be deposited in scrap metal
Yard Waste/Tree Waste April – November; same day as garbage, weekly; Place on curb in paper bags front of your home. Grass clippings and leaves bagged. Maximum branch size not to exceed 4 inches in diameter by 4 feet long; bundle & tie securely, bundles not to exceed 18 inches in diameter.

Christmas Trees Curbside collection, pickup first two weeks in January, place next to garbage.
