Fix-It Clinics

Have broken stuff lying around?  Don't trash it - fix it!

Sign up for the virtual fix-it clinic to meet online with an expert fixer to repair your favorite items with step by step instructions. Get help repairing clocks, vacuums, clothing, lamps, bikes and much more!  Anoka County staff and volunteer fixers will review submissions to ensure we can work on your item over video chat. Instructions will be sent to each participant prior to the event. Time slots are first come, first served.

Why fix it? Bring your broken items back to life!

Our Fix It Clinic can help you by...

  • Saving you money.
  • Preserving old items of value to you.
  • Reducing waste in your community.

First come, first served. These events are for residents who need their own items fixed. These events are not intended for businesses.

  • Needle nose and regular pliers
  • Flashlight
  • Soldering iron and solder

Mobile Menders

Have a button to sew back on, pants that need to be hemmed or a tear in your favorite jeans?

Mobile Menders is a volunteer group dedicated to providing free mending services around the Twin Cities area. Their goal is to provide clothing repair to those in need. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to have clothes that fit and are in good shape.  They hold mending clinics throughout the year some of which are in Anoka County.  For information about Mobile Menders or their events go to:
