Community Holiday Assistance Programs for Families with Children

This year Anoka County is transitioning internal holiday assistance programs to existing community programs. This means that Anoka County will no longer be matching donors who want to purchase gifts with families or individuals. Instead, those people who are in need will be referred to our community partners who will be able to match them with donors and gifts.

For families with children who need gift assistance during the holiday, please contact one of the following community programs based on where you live:

SACA - The Christmas Project provides gifts to low income children 17 & under who live in Columbia Heights, Hilltop, Fridley and Spring Lake Park 55421 & 55432). Food box may be available to regular food shelf visitors. Call 763-706-3976 to apply for Christmas Project. Application deadline is December 4th. Gifts can be picked up on December 15th by appointment only.

Christmas Committee - Toys for Joy provides gifts & food to low income children 17 & under who live north of Spring Lake Park. 763-323-4982. Applications will be available by mid-October at local food shelves and Anoka County Human Services offices. Applications must be mailed by November 26th.
