Be Active

The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommends 30 minutes of physical activity a day for adults, 60 minutes for children, at least five days a week. Regardless of your current activity level there are plenty of ways to get moving in and around Anoka County! It's time to be active, get healthy, and have some fun!

Physical Activity Videos

Through partnerships with Bridgeview Drop-In Center and Touchstone Mental Health, Become Wellness created a variety of 30-minute physical activity videos to help you Be Active at home. Check them out here and here.

Anoka County Parks and Recreation
Anoka County Parks and Recreation offers access at parks, trails, camp sites, and programs for everyone. Find out more on the Park and Recreation website. 

City Parks and Recreation
Each city in Anoka County has its own Parks and Recreation Department, offering more opportunities for parks, trails, camp sites, and programs for all ages.

Community Education Classes
Many Anoka County school districts offer public access to free/low-cost exercise/physical activity classes, indoor walking, or open-gym options. Class schedules vary, so check district websites for current offerings. 

YMCA Twin Cities
The YMCA of the Twin Cities is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to personal development and healthy living. Locations in Anoka County include sites in Andover, Forest Lake, Lino Lakes, and Coon Rapids.
