Gifts for Special Occasions
Monetary donations may be made to honor or memorialize a friend, family member or event. You may specify a topic or subject area for any material that will be purchased. Undesignated donations of cash will be used to purchase materials most needed by the Library. A bookplate honoring your friend or family member will be placed inside the material if you provide their name(s). Please print a copy of the Donation Form (PDF) and send the completed form along with your check to the address listed on the form.
If you prefer to purchase an item directly or to request that a specific title be purchased with your cash donation, please contact the Library’s administrative office at 763-324-1500.
Anoka County Library welcomes donations of recently published (within the last 1 to 2 years), high quality used books, compact discs, and DVDs. Small quantities may be brought to the service desk of your nearest branch library. For a large number of items, please contact the Library’s Administrative Office at 763-324-1500. If you would like a receipt, please ask library staff for a Donation/Gift Receipt. The form will state the number and type of materials donated. Staff cannot estimate the value of donated items.
In order to determine whether donated material will be added to the collection, the same criteria used for new materials will be applied. Donated items not added to the collection may be sold. The Library does not accept magazines, textbooks, computer manuals, Reader’s Digest condensed books, or any materials which are stained, worn, or mildewed.
