Where should I pick up my reserve items when construction begins?
You can pick up your holds at the Rum River Library or any other Anoka County Library location. For holds that are already in progress, the pickup library will automatically be changed to the Rum River Library. Log into your account if you wish to select a different pickup location. For new holds placed during the closure, you will be prompted to choose a pickup location when placing your hold.
Where do I return books while the library is closed?
You'll be able to return books at the Rum River Library or any other Anoka County library location.
Will the Library Lockers at the St. Francis Library be accessible during the project?
No, the St. Francis Library Lockers will not be available during this time. However, your fob allows after-hours access to all of the locker locations, so you can choose the Johnsville, Northtown, or Mississippi locker locations when you place holds and still utilize the convenience of picking up your holds from 6am-10pm. What will the renovation entail?
This project will refresh the entire space to create a more welcoming and comfortable space for patrons to discover ideas, information, and inspiration. While the footprint of the library will not change, the new layout will improve traffic flow throughout the building and create improved workspaces for staff to better serve the community.
When will the construction start and how long will the project take?
St. Francis Library construction will begin June 7, 2021 and is expected to last through July 2021.
Will the St. Francis Library remain in the same location?
Yes, this is a renovation project. The St. Francis Library will remain at 3519 Bridge St. NW, St. Francis.
