What is Commute Solutions?


Anoka County
Commute Solutions is a Transportation Management Organization (TMO) that strives to reduce congestion and improve air quality by promoting transportation options.

Who We Are


Commute Solutions was established in 2004 and is one of four TMOs serving the Twin Cities region.  The other TMOs of the Twin Cities are: 
 
1) 
Commuter Services (494 Corridor)
2) 
Move Minneapolis (downtown Minneapolis)
3) 
Smart Trips (all of St. Paul)

Metro Transit serves as the TMO for the remaining areas in the seven-county Twin Cities metropolitan area. 
 

What We Do

 

·      Stimulate the development and implementation of sustainable commute options programs with employers and residents.

·      Develop, promote and implement employee and residential commute options that reduce traffic congestion, reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality.

·      Foster relationships with a broad range of employer and community groups.

·      Shape the development of infrastructure to improve mobility to, and within, Anoka County.

How We Are Funded

  
Commute Solutions is funded (80%) by a federal Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) grant, administered by the Metropolitan Council and 20% by Anoka County.
