Apply for a License

Apply Online

Using the online form saves time when you have your signatures witnessed at the Vital Statistics Office in the Government Center in Anoka. You will receive a confirmation number to bring in to complete the process.

The waiting period does not start until both applicants appear in person together to sign the application, show identification, and pay the license fee.

Apply in Person

Download an application form, fill it out on your computer, print the form, and bring it to the Anoka County Vital Statistics Office. Again, both applicants need to appear in person to sign the form, show identification, and pay the license fee.

Effective August 1, 2020

Statute 517.08 (CHAPTER 76--H.F.No. 745) Removes provisions allowing minors to marry. Proof of age at time of application for a license to marry will be required.
