Class Expectations

Use this checklist to make sure you have everything you need to bring to class.

Students are required to bring their own size-appropriate ATV or share with another student in the class. All ATV’s must be greater than 90cc. This course emphasizes safety and proper ATV use. The Sheriff’s Office and the DNR expect all students show respect and responsibility for a sport that can be dangerous when safety rules are ignored. Failure to follow the rules and safety procedures will result in immediate removal from the driving course and no safety permit will be issued.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend and participate. Adults participating in the riding course will need to have all the required safety equipment. Parents or guardians may participate free of charge unless they want to be certified. To become certified, parents or guardians must complete the independent online study course and pay the $10 fee online after completing the course.
