On 01/01/2018 at approximately 1226 hours, officers from the Columbia Heights Police Department were dispatched to the 4200 block of 5th St NE in Columbia Heights on a call of a suspicious vehicle that had been running on the street for a long period. Upon arrival officers discovered an adult female in the back seat who was deceased.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene for processing. The victim is a 29-year-old female from St. Paul. The body showed the victim had significant injuries. An autopsy is ongoing by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office. The official cause of death has yet to be determined.
The investigation has developed one murder suspect. That individual is identified as Fue Her, DOB 03/03/1982, of Fridley, MN. It is believed that Mr. Her is a companion of the deceased female. Fue Her was taken into custody on 1-2-18 at approximately 1830 hrs in the City of Fridley with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol, Fridley and Columbia Heights Police Departments. The suspects brother, Kong Her was also taken into custody at the same time. Fue Her was booked at the Anoka County Jail for Murder in the second degree. Kong Her was booked at the Anoka County Jail for Aiding an Offender.
The case will be reviewed by the Anoka County Attorney’s Office and they will determine if / what formal criminal charges are appropriate. Both suspects HAVE BEEN ARRESTED, BUT ARE NOT YET FORMALLY CHARGED.
The investigation shows that the murder likely took place at an address of 5451 5th Street NE in the City of Fridley, despite the body being discovered in Columbia Heights. The decedent is identified as:
Linda Pa Vue DOB: 04-13-1988 of St. Paul, MN
