New Staff at the Anoka County Sheriff's Office
On October 23, 2017 Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart administered the oath of office to five new members. Detention Deputies Branden Cheney and Jesse Rasmussen were welcomed to the office along with Deputies Anthony Kvam, Marnae Klungseth and Daniel Zimmerman.
Detention Deputy Branden Cheney: Branden Cheney has is completing his Associate of Applied Science at North Hennepin Community College and has a Law Enforcement Skills Certificate from Hennepin Technical College. Detention Deputy Cheney has previously worked in private security and served in the Minnesota Army National Guard. Detention Deputy Cheney will be assigned to the Jail Division.
Detention Deputy Jesse Rasmussen: Jesse Rasmussen has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Studies from Bemidji State University and a Law Enforcement Skills Certificate from Alexandria Technical and Community College. Detention Deputy Rasmussen has previously worked as a Public Safety Officer at Bemidji State University and in private security. Detention Deputy Rasmussen will be assigned to the Jail Division.
Deputy Anthony Kvam: Anthony Kvam has an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Hibbing Community College. Deputy Kvam spent ten years as a Police Officer for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and has previously served in the United States Army. Deputy Kvam will be assigned to the Patrol Division.
Deputy Marnae Klungseth: Marnae Klungseth has an Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement from Alexandria Technical Community College. Deputy Klungseth has previously worked as a Police Officer for the Waterford City Police Department and, most recently, for the Williston Police Department. Deputy Klungseth will be assigned to the Patrol Division.
Deputy Daniel Zimmerman: Daniel Zimmerman has an Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement from Alexandria Technical Community College. Deputy Zimmerman has previously worked in private security, and most recently, as a Police Officer for the Williston Police Department. Deputy Zimmerman will be assigned to the patrol Division.
