The Anoka County Library will host its Second Annual Local Author Fair on Saturday, September 30, at the Rum River Library. Activities will start at 10:00 a.m. with keynote speaker, Tom Rademacher. Known as “Mr. Rad” to his English students, the 2014 winner of the Minnesota Teacher of the Year Award will discuss his book, It Won’t Be Easy: An Exceedingly Honest (and Slightly Unprofessional) Love Letter to Teaching. Copies of his book will be available for purchase and signing.
Following Rademacher’s appearance, the public can connect with nearly two dozen local authors featured in this year’s fair whose books represent a range of genres, reading levels, and topics. In addition to getting to know local authors, attendees can learn about crafting their own literary pieces.
