Cedar Creek Conservation Area

The Cedar Creek Conservation Area, features a broad array of native landscapes including wetlands and emergent marshes, woodlands, and over two miles of shoreline on the Rum River and Cedar Creek. Over 200 acres of the conservation area will be managed as native prairie to increase biological diversity and improve wildlife habitat.

Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment
The funding for the project was made possible through a $3.8 million grant from the new Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment and $400,000 from the Legislative Citizens Commission on Minnesota Resources.  The land negotiations were facilitated by the Trust for Public Land – Minnesota Office.

Conservation Area Hours
6 a.m. to 30 minutes past sunset
Hunting and fishing within the Cedar Creek Conservation Area must follow all Minnesota DNR regulations.
