Metropolitan Council Environmental Services and Anoka County Parks will be making improvements within Riverfront Regional Park. These projects will result in the closure of the Regional Park and Trail until December 1.Please follow the posted detour routes. Thank you for your patience during this process.
Riverfront contains 139-acres and is one of the many open green spaces along the Mississippi River. Paved trails now connect with the Minneapolis Park System trails to the south and reach as far north as Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park. During certain times of the year, various bird species can be seen on their migratory journey along the Mississippi River. The Riedel Farm Estate is a popular choice for weddings, family reunions, and company retreats.
Vehicle Entry into the Park
Please note that all motorized vehicles are required to purchase a vehicle entry permit to the regional parks. Entry permits are available at the gate house locations, Bunker Hills Activity Center, Campground Visitor Centers, and Anoka County License Centers.
*The annual permit is honored at all Anoka County regional parks as well as regional parks in Washington and Carver counties.
