This 273-acre area offers a rare opportunity to develop, operate, and maintain a regional park on the Mississippi River from the initial stages of management to complete development.
Proposed development of the park includes a Center for Sustainable Landscape, which would provide an educational and interpretive center to illustrate sustainable design and best management practices.
This park is largely undeveloped, but, a newly developed small Mississippi River boat launch will is now open. This is a paved boat launch with eight trailer stalls and six vehicle stalls. For more information on the future of this park, please view Mississippi West Regional Park Master Plan.
Vehicle Entry into the Park
Please note that all motorized vehicles are required to purchase a vehicle entry permit to the regional parks. Entry permits are available at the gate house locations, Bunker Hills Activities Center, Campground Visitor Centers, and Anoka County License Centers.
*The annual permit is honored at all Anoka County regional parks as well as regional parks in Washington and Carver counties.
