The Anoka County Family Child Care Licensing Unit is responsible for licensing and monitoring family child care homes within the county. Child Care Centers located within the county are licensed directly by the State of Minnesota. If you have any questions regarding Child Care Centers call the State of Minnesota at 651-431-6500.
This meeting is for residents of Anoka County only. If you live in another county, please contact that county to find out how to become licensed. If you live in Coon Rapids and are renting an apartment, the Coon Rapids Fire Marshal does not approve apartments for child care, so we will not be able to license you.
Effective November 1, 2014, any licensed provider who has closed or will be closing their license, must start the entire licensing process over, regardless of how long ago the license was closed if they wish to reopen. The same requirements apply to any currently licensed provider in another county who is transferring into Anoka County.
Please do not bring children because space is limited and the materials covered require your absolute attention. We require that you attend the entire class so please plan accordingly.
