Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Crime Watch programs, in partnership with local law enforcement, play an integral part in crime detection and prevention. National statistics have indicated that when neighbors are committed to participating in neighborhood watch groups, the quality of life in their neighborhoods improved. “Opportunity” provides the impetus for crime to occur. If neighbors organize their efforts to be vigilant of each other's property, it will likely result in the reduction of criminal incidents.

Here is how you get started:

A 2 - 3 week notice is necessary.

At the first meeting, we will cover how to protect your home, reporting suspicious vehicles and people, calling 911, and concerns specific to your neighborhood.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office supports the Neighborhood Crime Watch program for residents in Andover, Nowthen, Bethel, Columbus, East Bethel, Ham Lake, Linwood Township, and Oak Grove. Local police departments provide this service in other county communities.
