To stimulate and organize public support, understanding, and use of the Anoka County Library; to focus positive public attention on the Library; to support the Library in developing library services, facilities, activities, and programs; and to encourage and receive gifts for the benefit of the users of the Anoka County Library.
The Friends meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Please check the calendar for location information.
The Friends are involved in a number of activities, including:
Hosting the annual Library Mini Golf fundraiser
Hosting library programs and events
Supporting the Summer Reading Program for youth
Funding Books-in-a-Bag kits for reading and discussion groups
Donating annually to the library system
Promoting the Anoka County libraries - some of the county’s most popular assets!

History of the Friends
In April 2003, local book enthusiasts joined together to create Friends of the Anoka County Library. The Friends are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting library programs and services.
