Computer Workshop Descriptions

Computer Basics 
Day 1                                                                             Available in Blaine only
Introduction to operating computers: How to: turn on computer, use a mouse, learn about the file button, print, right click/left click etc., Introduction to Windows: Desktop, Start button, saving documents, Learn different mouse features and copy and paste. *Familiarity with the mouse is required!

Day 2
Introduction to folders, Internet Explorer: You will learn search techniques, how to add sites and organize Favorites, use tabbed browsing, search and set your browsing history, add search providers, change your home page, copy & paste from a web page onto a Word document and save a web page. *Familiarity with the mouse is required!

Microsoft Word 2010-Basic                              
                Available in Blaine or at Anoka Ramsey Community College
You will learn the basic features of Microsoft Word including: Word window features, how to create, format and edit documents such as a letter and resume, how to move and copy text, change margins, create bulleted text and columns, save documents.

Microsoft Excel 2010-Basic                                                Available in Blaine or at Anoka Ramsey Community College
You will learn the basic features of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet application including: entering, formatting and editing data, using formulas and functions, moving and copying data, using autofill, creating charts.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2010-Basic                                    Available in Blaine or at Anoka Ramsey Community College
You will learn the basic features of Microsoft PowerPoint presentation application including: creating, editing and formatting a presentation, inserting and editing objects, applying and modifying a theme, adding transitions and animations, and learning print options.

Microsoft Access 2010
Introduction to Microsoft Office Access 2010. Learn the basics of Access including working with Tables, Queries, Forms, and Reports.
