Are there any other fees?

There may be a fee for fire inspections. It depends on the city in which the child care home is located. The fee varies, but, according to law, it may not exceed $50 per inspection.

Well water testing is required annually for Licensed Child Care Homes. Wells need to be checked for coliform and nitrates. Wells can be tested through the county or privately and there is a fee for both. The current lab fee is $30.00 (lab fees subject to change).

Samples are accepted Mondays (8:00 am-4:15 pm) and Tuesdays (8:00 am- noon). If a holiday occurs on a weekday, please call before submitting your sample to Environmental Services, 3rd floor of the Government center.
